LEARN ABOUT EACH PROGRAM

  • Playing on the Spectrum | Ages 3-11

AFC’s signature program, Playing on the Spectrum, is a 4-week program that takes place on Sundays during the fall and winter months. “Playing” engages children in an interactive play-based format that provides fun movement activities such as yoga, basic sports skills, music and physical fitness

  • Leisure Explorers | Ages 12-18

The newest program from Autism Families CONNECTicut, Leisure Explorers is a program for teens to try out something new. Next we’ll be exploring games like bocce, ping pong, and bucket ball! Leisure Explorers gives children ages 12-18 an opportunity to explore a variety of activities to increase their leisure repertoire and confidence, enhance skills, and experience enjoyment in community programs with their peers.

  • Teen Night | Ages 13-18

Offered Friday evenings, this music and movement based program gives teens loads of opportunities to socialize, establish and maintain social connections, and have fun while participating in themed activities such as music, dancing, and trivia…just to name a few! For ages 14 and up. Our friends from CT Music Therapy Services provide fun music activities each month!

This program typically takes place the third Friday of the month.

  • Young Adult Hangout | Ages 19-35

AFC’s Young Adult Hangouts on Friday evenings is “the place to be” for young adults on the autism spectrum who are looking for some fun, games, and good laughs! Hangouts are a fun and social evening that include conversation, social activities, and games with friends.
