MAKE A DONATION

Thank you for considering A DONATION TO AFC

Your unrestricted gift is vital to AFC because it gives us the crucial flexibility to respond to immediate needs and opportunities as they arise. Such contributions also help build a strong AFC financial foundation. To fulfill our mission, AFC must be able to meet the changing needs of the Autism community, in order to continue improving the quality of life for people with Autism and their families. By making an unrestricted gift, you enable AFC to provide support programs and much more to families in Connecticut.

Autism Families CONNECTicut is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, AFC has been supporting the Autism community for over 10 years. We are grateful for your support!

OTHER WAYS TO GIVE

  • Champions Fund

This peer-to-peer fundraising platform allows you to ask your family and friends for donations to an organization that’s important to you and your family. AFC supplies the format and assistance in posting.

To be a Champion for AFC, contact Alicia Bray at  Alicia@autismfamiliesct.org.

  • Workplace Giving

    Matching Gifts and Workplace Giving

Companies and their employees can support the important work of Autism Families CONNECTicut. When you donate through your workplace, you can make a difference to people with autism in your community, and across Connecticut.

Donate to AFC through the United Way or Employer Matching Gift Campaigns

AFC is not a United Way member, but you can donate to AFC through the “Donor Choice” option in many United Way workplace campaigns. Just write Autism Families CONNECTicut in the Donor Choice Box. If you do this, please be sure to ask your local United Way to inform AFC that you have made this selection so that we may acknowledge your gift.

Matching Gifts: Double the Impact of Your Donation

Your employer could match your gift to the AFC! Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees, retirees and/or employees’ spouses. If you have questions about matching gifts, feel free to reach out to Operations Manager, Alicia Bray, at alicia@autismfamiliesct.org.

  • Planned Giving

Gift plans can create opportunities for you, as well as for AFC. It is important that the gift is right for you and your family, and there are many options from which to choose.

Recognizing that this may be a sensitive topic for your family, it deserves care and consideration. We encourage you to contact Alicia Bray at alicia@autismfamiliesct.org for information about providing for AFC in your estate and financial plan.

Please notify us if you have already arranged for a bequest or other planned gift; we would like to honor your support!

  • Sponsor an Event or Program

Expand your reach through an AFC Event! Every year, AFC hosts a variety of unique and exciting events and programs in order to engage the autism community.

Golf for AFC! Our first golf outing fundraising event was a great success and we are already planning year two! The event brings families, supporters and local celebrities together for a full day of fun at the scenic Hartford Golf Club.

  • In Kind

In-kind donations are important to our organization and provide vital budget relieving goods or services such as cleaning services, business’ surplus inventory, used equipment and furniture, ancillary electronic office equipment, office supplies, children’s games and art supplies. In-kind donations are tax-deductible at the depreciated value of the donation and allow AFC to re-channel dollars into program funding for our kids.

We respectfully request that the items be clean and in proper working order. Please contact us for a wish list that AFC would be grateful to accept. For more information, please contact us at 860.474.3444 or Alicia@autismfamiliesct.org.
